The ninety-nine percent live under the thumb of those with power, influence, and wealth. Law enforcement and government have been almost entirely usurped by a dozen monstrous corporate entities. You are one of a handful of people who have been gifted with super-powers. And you live outside the law, in the shadows, underground.
