These weighty but crudely carved stones have been erected in certain areas of the forests of Germania. The stones are often covered in thick moss, mold, fungus, and other growths, and are festooned with roped ornaments, some of them ancient, their surfaces worn and unrecognizable. These sites may be mistaken by the ignorant for druidic markers, and serve a similar sacred and ceremonial function, but are dedicated to the Outer God Mormo, the Goat of the Woods With a Thousand Young. Sacrificial blood has been spilled upon them, and malevolent energies linger in such places, weakening barriers between worlds.
