Yokai Septet: Pocket Edition

Yokai Septet is a trick-taking game for 2 to 4 players, designed by the creator of the 2021 Golden Trickster award, Cat in the Box! 

In this game, your goal is to capture high scoring Boss Yokai by strategically playing cards from your hand following the rules of the trick-taking game. When playing with 4 players, the game is played in 2 vs 2 partnership. When playing with 3-players, the game becomes a free-for-all, and with 2-players, it is a 1 vs 1 heads on battle!

• You will have a hand of cards, and you will play 1 card each turn.
• The first player of each turn can play any card from their hand.
• The remaining players in clockwise order play a card of the same suit as the first player. If you don't have a card of the same suit, then you may play any card.
• The player who played the highest card of the same suit as the first player's card wins that turn and takes cards played that turn.
• The goal of the game is to take a certain number of rank 7 cards, before winning seven times!
