Dirtbags!

Dirtbags! is a sci-fi shooter TTRPG where players take on the role of convicts in a corporate-run dystopian world, coerced into the Military Foundation’s Rehabilitation Incentive Program (R.I.P.) with the promise of freedom and reintegration.

Forced to endure relentless tours of duty, Dirtbags are expendable, thrown at every problem imaginable, from distant alien bug infestations and scab pirates to suicidal salvage missions, courier work, and anything else the Corporate Echelon demands.

Themes and Inspiration

Dirtbags! draws inspiration from countless sources, including Starship Troopers, Tank Girl, Aliens, and more. While the game serves as satire critiquing corporate greed and capitalism, it also explores mature themes, such as class systems, private prisons, internment, incarceration, drug use, mental health, and death, without intending to diminish the real-world severity of these issues.

Features

Dirtbags! is designed from the ground up to be flexible, cinematic, and fast-paced. It's rules-lite and combat-heavy, putting character agency and tactics directly into the players hands.

The core system revolves around managing two six-sided dice pools. The first pool is used for taking actions, while the second is used for ammunition. Roll as many or as few as you want, you're in control!

A few other features  include:

• Three core abilities scores: Bones, Cunning, and Nerves.
• Five roles: Ape, Pill, Tech, Hen, and Musclehead
• Create unique characters: Pardonable offenses, fallout, traits, gear, and more.
• Fast-paced, dynamic combat: Firing your weapon is a free action. Oh, and you can shoot to defend yourself!
• Easy to track body part hit points: Arms, legs, torso, and head.
• Getting hit is deadly: Use tactics, distance, and your environment to your advantage.
• Simple ranges: Close, Near, and Far.
• Straightforward progression: Pay down your sentence, survive operations, and complete tours of duty to get better.

Dirtbags! is an A5-sized perfect bound softcover and comes complete with everything needed to play. It features: 

• 60 pages in a concise, two-page spread layout.
